ALH Beetle and Jetta heater boxes the same?

Two 2000 Beetles, 2002 Jetta, 2002 gas avh Jetta, fleet of older 1.6 turbo and non's
Is the heater/air cond. lower plastic box identical on Beetles and Jetta's.
Are they the same with different risers attached at the top for the vents?

I am making reference to 2000 to like 2003 models.
